I work with words, wanting to know how people put their life into language. When working in Madison, Wisconsin (USA), I interpret medical information & personal history for providers and Spanish-speaking patients. I also translate from Dutch and German into English. All projects – commercial, academic, & literary – involve the privilege of voicing (auto)biography in times of sickness, recovery and life transition.
